Off Grid is conceived as a spatial escape from the structured rhythm of urban life, where the familiar order of the city gradually gives way to a concealed journey of discovery, healing, and freedom. The design journey is intentionally layered and narrative-driven. It starts with a familiar convenience store interface, representing the rigid façade of the civilized world. Behind this everyday threshold, the space unfolds into a concealed sequence of experiences. At the heart of this transition is the café, imagined with a speakeasy spirit — intimate, hidden, and slightly unexpected. Rather than functioning as a conventional café, it acts as a secretive in-between realm: a tucked-away retreat that softens the shift from the public and familiar into the immersive and unknown.
